His need to move on with his work increased and he is now travelling in order to seek out inspiration for his stunning portrayals of light and landscape. His new collection is a stunning take on the genre of landscape. Each vibrant composition has been built up in layers using a variety of tools to give a remarkable, almost ethereal feeling of depth and intensity that connects with the emotions of the viewer. It is the atmosphere and the shading Barry is passionate about capturing in these works which do not duplicate the actual colours of the landscape, but rather convey the creative imagination of a genuine and artistic talent.
